NABAS Deco Bubbles versus Aqua Balloons:

The Aqua Balloons are made by the same company who manufacture the deco bubbles, Takara Kosan in Japan.

Both of these clear bubble balloons will play a major part in professional décor – this course shows you how to use both correctly and when to use them to get the most impact in your displays.

It shows the similarities and differences between them both and give your hand-on experience in using both balloons effectively. We also look at the Amscan Clearz balloons as well as LED lights with bubble balloons.

Covering a lot of the standard deco bubble techniques, you’ll also learn about beads and water with flowers inside the aqua balloons, and crucially job costing the displays.

This is an intermediate/advanced course and requires that you have experience in dealing and handling balloons already.

Intermediate Silhouette Cameo:

Once you’ve mastered the silhouette cameo for text, tracing images, importing fonts, welding, curving and simple layering, you may want to know more of what the silhouette cameo is capable of. This next level course doesn’t cover everything this fabulous machine can create, but delves a little deeper into common techniques useful for the balloon and party industry.

Basic Level Silhouette Cameo:

Delegates please bring your own cameo machine and laptop (please note Apple MAC are a mystery to me so I can’t assist with technical issues relating to these) as its hands on instruction:

Beginners Guide to Silhouette Cameo:

Delegates please bring your own cameo machine and laptop as its hands on instruction:

1) Setting up the Silhouette Cameo explaining various media, blades, pens, speed and settings
2) Downloading fonts and typing simple text
3) Welding and offsetting
4) Using basic shapes and curving text around a shape
5) Sizing the design for different balloons and accessories
6) Importing images and Tracing tips
7) Saving files and creating templates
8) Cutting with and without a cutting mat
9) Weaving and use of tools
10) Using Backing Tape to transfer designs

Organic balloon training

NABAS Approved Course – Classic versus Organic Décor:

This course shows the differences between the more fluid organic style versus the more classic and structured columns and arches.

Covering centrepieces, columns and arches, you will be able to see how both styles are created and implemented into décor, as well as realising how the materials, time and, crucially, job-costings differ along the way.

Learning tips and techniques, through a combination of demonstration and hands-on build, you will leave the course feeling confident with both styles and realise how both involve set design principles, just implemented differently.

So whether you prefer the speed of classic, or the individuality of organic this course will give you all you need to know.
